Honored to Be Elected

I am deeply honored, and I thank everyone who has supported and placed their faith in me. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to represent ASSE International as your next President. I would like to thank International Past President Jason Shank for his service as President during the past two years. Due to the pandemic, Jason was unable to conduct the majority of our Mid-Year, Annual, and Board of Directors meetings in person, but through his leadership and collaboration with ASSE staff, everyone was able to pivot and attend productive virtual meetings that kept ASSE International moving in a positive direction. These were very difficult times, and for these efforts, we cannot thank him enough.

I would also like to congratulate the newly elected ASSE International Board of Directors, including Vince Gallo, our new Vice President. I look forward to working with everyone — it is a privilege to be associated with the best and brightest individuals in the industry. I would also like to congratulate Marianne Waickman on her retirement and thank her for the many years of dedicated service. I wish her a healthy and prosperous future. ASSE International staff has reorganized and added new team members to ensure that the quality of our service to stakeholders does not diminish. We will continuously grow and improve to meet the demands of our industry.

Please check ASSE International’s website (www.asse-plumbing.org) often and read our publications to see how you can remain or become more involved, and stay informed about your organization. It is up to all of us to keep ASSE healthy — I encourage each of you to think about something you can do next for your society, your discipline, and your profession.

I would like to thank all the sponsors, past ASSE presidents, committee members, committee chairs, working group members, and staff who made the 2022 ASSE International Annual Meeting a great success. We encourage everyone to attend the 2023 ASSE International Mid-Year Meeting, April 4-5, 2023, at Plumbers Local 130 Training Center in Chicago. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
