The 2025 ASSE International Mid-Year Meeting was a success! Thank you to all who were in attendance and, of course, to our sponsors that made it possible. I would also like to thank staff for their dedication and fluid response to any changes in the meeting. What I noticed most was the participation of the committee members and attendees. This involvement is crucial to the success of our organization. I did receive informative feedback from the Board of Directors and through meeting with participants on the content and activities of the event.
This issue of Working Pressure magazine focuses on medical gas and health care. The ASSE Series 6000, 12000, and 13000 are some of the standards that fit the theme of this issue. It is of great comfort to know there are professionals in our organization who have the passion and skill to generate and maintain these standards for the protection of public health and safety. At some point in all our lives we will be in these facilities as patients or with loved ones, wanting the best possible outcome. ASSE is there to work with the contractors, skilled labor, and facility managers/owners to ensure that is the case.
The 2025 ASSE International Annual Meeting is coming up soon in beautiful Palm Springs, California. It will be held Sept. 17-19 and co-located with IAPMO’s and ARCSA’s conferences. We have made continuous progress in standards development and maintenance — it is ever changing, and your input is needed. Plan on attending to add your experience to our group. We look forward to seeing you in California!
