Safe Water For All

We have completed the first quarter of 2022, and like the past couple of years, it has had its twists and turns. Through it all, ASSE International has adjusted and come through in a better position. Since my last message to you all, we have seen COVID-19 make another spike and then settle down, which caused us to push the First Quarter ASSE Board of Directors Meeting to March. This caution taken was in the best interest of the health and safety of everyone, and we were able to reschedule the in-person meetings for March (in addition to meeting virtually). This gave the Board almost double the normal time discussions on possible new directions and governance of ASSE. More on this topic will be coming soon.

I look forward to getting all our major meetings back in person to reconnect, share a laugh, see some smiling faces, and have all those conversations and debates that seem a bit harder to do virtually.

A final thought I would like to leave you with before you read through this edition of Working Pressure is that as the world twists and turns, through illness, wars, and everyday life, there are constant, consistent needs of humans. One of which is access to clean, drinkable water. All of us reading this (and those who have flipped the page already) play a role in making our communities, countries, and world a better place by providing water that is safe in all of its uses. I cannot think of a better way to spend my professional and personal time. So, thank you all for your work, time, and dedication to making water safe.
