We Rely On You

ASSE International has always relied on members and industry professionals to serve on the various committees and working groups to develop new product and professional qualifications standards and revise current standards. Thank you for volunteering and I hope you will all remain involved. There are a few individuals who deserve special thanks. First, Dana Colombo, for his dedication and service as ASSE International President for the previous two years. We are fortunate to have Colombo remain on the Board as our new Immediate Past President. To outgoing Region 4 Director Paul Baker, Region 5 Director Joseph Kajak, and Immediate Past President Douglas Marian – thank you for your years of service to the Board and our members. I know you will be continue your involvement by serving on various committees.

The recent ASSE International Annual Meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. will always remain special for me. Being elected ASSE International President and given the opportunity to serve the society and its membership in this capacity is an honor.

As we continue to grow and expand into new areas, so will our portfolio of product and professional qualifications standards. This growth also means more work for those already involved. The alternative is to seek additional professionals, such as plumbers, contractors, manufacturers, engineers, apprentices, and others, to help out. If you are a current committee or working group member, think of someone you know that could offer their expertise and encourage them to become involved. If you have yet to be part of a working group or committee, please consider it. Information about committees and working groups can be found at www.asse-plumbing.org. I guarantee that becoming more involved in ASSE International will be very rewarding.
