In One Word: Success

Success. That is the one word I would use to describe the 2019 ASSE International Annual Meeting and IAPMO Education & Business Conference held in Reno. From the opening session through the evening outing at the National Automobile Museum, members from both organizations were able to participate in a number of joint events, including the companions who participated in a scenic drive along the rim of Lake Tahoe, shopping, and lunch. Many of the attendees took advantage of the opportunity to meet each other, discuss common interests, and begin networking, which I’m sure will carry on into the future. The Board of Directors from ASSE International and IAPMO also took advantage of the co-located conference to meet together for the first time and determined that with the success of this event, planning should begin for a future co-located conference.

Staff from both organizations worked diligently to ensure that this first co-located event was successful, and I would like to extend a sincere Thank You to them for delivering an outstanding end product and to all of you who took the time to attend.

While we await the announcement of the next co-located meeting, planning for the 2020 ASSE International Annual Meeting is underway. Mark your calendar and join us in sunny California, October 26-29, 2020 at the Marriot Mission Valley in San Diego.

Meanwhile, next on the ASSE International agenda is our Mid-Year Meeting, scheduled for April 14-15, 2020. This year’s meeting will be hosted by Chicago Plumbers Local 130 and held at their training center. I’m very much looking forward to a tour of their state-of-the-art facility and meeting with many of our ASSE International members again.
